Displaying text on the image
NV-DVR5009 and NV-DVR5016 Series recorders are able to link and simultaneously display re-
corded images and text in ASCII format by means of peripheral devices such as cash registers, cash
machines or PCs with installed access control software. The recorder can work with up to 10 pe-
ripheral devices that generate text and are connected to RS-232, RS-485 and USB ports
(the possibility of connecting 8 devices through a divider).
Caution:
The cooperation with peripheral devices requires the knowledge of sent data format of the
device.
There is not a limit of registered transactions. As long as camera images are registered
the transactions in the text mode are registered as well.
In order for the transaction to be displayed in the preview and playback modes you need to high-
light Transaction in the recorder’s menu Devices / Monitors / OSD.
As far as the network connections are concerned all the data about transactions are not displayed. It
refers both to Live Monitoring Feature and playback. Saving transactions text data is done in Mini-
bank log.
In order to set the function of displaying text on the images you need to choose sub-menu
Transaction in the Event menu.
