Access Control

To launch and log into Novell ZENworks Network Access Control:

Browser window on the workstation

Using

, point your browser to the Novell ZENworks Network Access Control MS 

IP address or host name. The login page appears.

Enter the User name and Password that you defined the first time you logged in.

Control

To log out of Novell ZENworks Network Access Control:

Any Novell ZENworks Network Access Control window

Click 

Logout

 in the upper right corner of the Novell ZENworks Network Access Control home 

window. When the logout procedure completes, the Novell login window appears.

16.1.3  Important Browser Settings

There are several browser configuration settings to make, depending on which browser you are 
using. Please see “

Important browser settings

” in the Installation Guide for details.

16.2  Restarting Novell ZENworks Network 

Access Control System Processes

This section lists the commands to stop and restart services associated with Novell ZENworks 
Network Access Control installations for MS, ES, or Single-server Installations. Restart instead of 
start is used for services already running in Novell ZENworks Network Access Control.

When running Novell ZENworks Network Access Control and monitoring systems on your 
network, you may encounter a warning on a server stating that a 

Connection cannot be 

established. Recommend restart.

 The following table provides specific commands for 

stopping and restarting your services with Novell ZENworks Network Access Control.

If stopping and restarting your system is not successful or you are being required to restart more than 
once, contact 

Novell Support (http://www.novell.com/support)

 or call (800) 858-4000.
