6.5.8 PVC-SIMV
PVC-SIMV is volume-synchronized intermittent mandatory ventilation mode. It provides the
minimum number of mandatory breaths based on the preset intermittent mandatory ventilation
frequency. The provided mechanical ventilation mode is volume mode (PRVC mode). If patient
