Terminal requirements

Before you establish a connection with a SMC, make sure you have the 
following required components:

•

An ASCII terminal or a computer running ASCII terminal emulation 
software (standard terminal emulation type is VT100) with the 
parameters shown in Table 7.

•

A console cable, male to female, with DB-9 connectors and a straight 
cable as shipped with the SMC 2450.
