Introduction 

This section explains how to enable the Web User Interface (UI), set up your 
web browser, and launch the Web UI to access the Secure Multimedia 
Controller (SMC) system-management features from your web browser. 

Characteristics of the Web UI 

Following are the characteristics of the Web UI:

•

installation not required; the Web UI is part of the SMC operating system 
(OS) software

•

upgrades with future software releases (as available)

•

accessible through HTTP, or secure HTTPS using Secure Socket Layer 
(SSL)

•

provides an intuitive user interface structure

•

provides configuration and monitoring functions similar to those 
available through the Command Line Interface (CLI)

•

supports up to ten simultaneous Web UI sessions
