Implementation Guide

SMC configurations

The SMC supports two types of configurations:

•

Stand-alone

•

High Availability (HA)

Stand-alone configuration

The stand-alone configuration contains a management network, intranet 
network, and one or more security zones. Each of the SMZ networks requires 
a unique port on the SMC device and an IP address. Figure 3 on 

page 34
