Asymtek recommends an interval setting of 5 Hr. This interval may be changed depending on conditions
such as flux, temperature or belt speed. It should be evaluated and adjusted to prevent
Over-lubricating. The software will trigger the lubrication cycle every interval and lubricant will be applied to
the chain.
The second setting is for the length of time that the lubricant is applied to the chain. This time is factory set to
0.5 seconds Again; this value will vary with the belt speed, viscosity of the lubricant or the length of the oven.
VIII. Verifying accuracy of the System
A. ISO Thermocouples
As an option, the oven may be equipped with a second K-type thermocouple in each heat zone. The
thermocouples are routed to sockets mounted through the front panel of the machine and may be
connected to an external digital thermometer. Readings obtained from the independent thermocouples,
within ± 3.6°C are considered acceptable for the Asymtek Oven at room temperature.
B. Verifying Accuracy of the Temperature Controller
The accuracy of the thermocouple inputs for the temperature control module in the Asymtek oven may be
checked by using any NIST certified digital calibrator/thermometer to simulate the operating temperatures of
the sensor. Asymtek recommends an OMEGA Model CL23A (Asymtek part # 4350) for this procedure.
Using this meter the total acceptable tolerance for the Asymtek oven is ± 3.0°C at room temperature.
The testing may be performed by selecting ioMonitor software located at C:\Oven\ioMonitor.exe. Connect
the wires of the test equipment to the thermocouple inputs at the controller. Actual thermocouple wire has to
be disconnected for a particular channel test and reconnected upon completion. You may need to refer
oven electrical wiring diagram for particular channel connection. Select Analog Inputs from Window menu
and check temperature at particular channel value. This value is in multiple of 10, so for actual temperature
value you have to divide by 10. (For example: value 509, the actual temperature will be 50.9°C)
