Command Enable/disable RIP send function on PPP link
Description Specifies whether M11 should use Routing information
protocol (RIP) broadcasts to advertise its routing tables
to router on the other side of the specified ATM link
using ppp-vcmux encapsulation. RIP cannot be acti-
vated if address mapping is ON.
Syntax set ip ip-ppp {vccx} rip-send [off | v1 | v2 | v1-compat]
Arguments The first argument identifies the ATM channel (vccx, x =
1 ... 8). If there is only one ATM channel using ppp-
vcmux encapsulation, you can leave the argument
vccx
out. Both RIP version 1 and RIP version 2 func-
tionalities can be simultaneously activated.
v1-compat
argument enables the sending of RIPv2 packets using
IP broadcast.
