MAINTENANCE

While supporting the thermal
head with your hand, pull the
thermal head retaining lever
toward you.

This releases the thermal head.

Remove the connectors
(harnesses). Then install a new
thermal head.

Pull the thermal head retaining
lever toward you, and insert the
hooks as shown while supporting
the thermal head with your hand.

After inserting the hooks, move the thermal
head retaining lever back in position.

Do not exert
excessive force on
the connectors
(harnesses) or
cables.

Return the
connectors
(harnesses) to their
original positions,
ensuring that they do
not make contact with
the thermal transfer
ribbon.

Do not touch the
thermal head with
bare hands. This may
cause a printing
failure.
