Diagnostic, Troubleshooting
General
Experience has shown that malfunctions are rarely encountered with the
ST730T
provided it is
properly operated and maintained.
Making use of the information furnished in this chapter malfunctions may be identified and reme-
died more easily. Before taking any further steps, check the following points:
•
Fuses are OK
•
The mains cable is plugged in
•
The main switch is turned to ON
•
Program No./Step selected match the desired wire/cable
•
The grippers are free of debris
•
The centralizers move freely
•
The stripping blades are in good condition
In case the stripping quality is unsatisfactory please check the following settings:
•
Stripping blades
(refer to centering of the stripping blades, page 28)
•
Centralizers
(refer to centering of the centralizers, page 33)
•
Grippers
(refer to centering of the grippers using the calibration kit, page 37)
•
Trigger contact
(refer to adjusting the trigger contact, page 40)
If a malfunction cannot be eliminated, refer to the troubleshooting checklist below (page 47).
Should you not be able to take remedial action yourself, please contact your service partner or the
manufacturer who can provide advice from trained experts. Describe the failure you have encoun-
tered as accurately as possible and try to pinpoint the location of the fault.
