STEERING AND BRAKING SYSTEM
STEERING CHAIN CHECK AND CLEANING
1.
Drive the machine on a level ground.
2.
Turn the ignition key (10) to OFF position and activate the parking brake (17).
3.
Remove the left side brush (27), if present.
4.
Check that the steering chain (A) and the related crown gears (B and C) are free from dirt or foreign materials
(cords, clothes, etc.) and excessive dirt. If necessary, clean it by means of a brush and a solvent, making the
drive wheel chain (B) slide in the accessible area, by moving the steering wheel.
Do not lubricate the chain after the cleaning.
5.
Carry out steps from 1. to 3. in the reverse order.

SERVO BRAKE AND PARKING BRAKE ADJUSTMENT
1.
Drive the machine on a level ground.
2.
Turn the ignition key (10) to OFF position.
3.
Operating at the side of the front wheel, loosen the lock nut (A), turn the register (B) as necessary and then
tighten the lock nut (A).
4.
Check the brake proper operation by means of the servo brake pedal (15) and of the parking brake lever (17).
5.
Besides, by means of a proper lifting system, hook the machine at the front anchorages (33) and lift it from
the ground. Then check that the wheel (C) turns freely.

Remark: The steering chain is not adjustable.
Remark: The servo brake and the parking brake are activated by the same cable, for this reason
they are adjusted by the same register, as indicated below.
