EPLACING THE

ONER
C
ARTRIDGE

Replace the Toner Cartridge when you start seeing print
quality problems such as light images or white streaks across
the page. The Operator Panel will display the
TONER LOW
message when the toner level is getting low.
The SuperScript 1800 Toner Cartridge will print
approximately 8,000 pages before it needs to be replaced. To
order another Toner Cartridge contact your NEC printer
dealer or call 800-632-2326.
Follow these directions to replace the Toner Cartridge
1. Open the Top Cover (A).
2. Pull out the used Toner Cartridge (B).
3. Remove the new Toner Cartridge from its bag and shake
it thoroughly, as shown, to distribute the toner (C).
4. Then rock the Toner Cartridge forward and back several
times (D).
5. Facing the front of the printer, gently place the new Toner
Cartridge inside (E) and close the printer (F).
When the printer does not contain a Toner Cartridge the
message
CLOSE COVERS
may appear on the Operator Panel,
even if the printer covers are closed.

note:
Please shake the Toner Cartridge
thoroughly to loosen and distribute the toner
inside, which may have settled during storage.
