ASSETTE
The 500-sheet 2nd Cassette (Tray 3) accommodates 500 sheets
of medium weight paper. It can also hold several other paper
and envelope types. See Appendix B for a complete list of
paper sizes and weights. The 500-sheet 2nd Cassette adjusts
to fit your desired paper size. For directions on loading
envelopes into this tray see page 69
Please note that the directions for loading paper, found in
Chapter 2, differ from loading paper into the 500-sheet 2nd
Cassette.
1.
Remove the tray from the 2nd cassette unit (A).
2.
Make sure the lever on the left front of the cassette tray is
released into the hole under the slot (B).
3.
Squeeze and adjust the Back Paper Guide to the desired
paper length embossed on the inside tray bottom (C).
4.
Make sure the Envelope Guide is adjusted to its back
position (D).
5.
Lift the tab on the top of Side Guide 1 and slide it to the
paper size indicated on the tray bottom. You may need to
use both hands for this step (E). Match the left side of
Side Guide 1 to the paper size markings on the bottom of
the tray. Directions continued on next page.
