SuperScript 1800 — User’s Guide

Paper Jams in the Multipurpose Tray Area

Follow these directions to clear paper jams that occur when a 
misfeed happens in the Multipurpose Tray (Tray 1) area. 
When this happens the Operator Panel will display 

JAM-TRAY

.

1.

If a paper edge is visible in the feed area, use both hands 
to gently pull the paper out of the printer (A).

2.

Remove any remaining paper from the Multipurpose 
Tray (B).

3.

Reload the paper back into the Multipurpose Tray (C).

4.

Open the Top Cover (D)

5.

Close the Top Cover (E).

note:

The Top Cover must be opened and closed in 

order to clear the paper jam message from the Operator 
Panel display.
