1202 - DCI Port Type
Description
Use Program 1202 - DCI Port Type to assign the DCI port type and
DCI sub-type to the PMS DCI software port. The port type entry speci-
fies the type of device to which the DCI is connected. There are four
port type entries:
0 = None
1 = DCI connected to RS-232 DTE port (e.g., PC serial port)
2 = DCI connected to Centronics port
3 = Not used
4 = DCI connected to RS-232 DCE port (e.g., modem)
The sub-type is a unique DCI configuration, with unique register set-
tings assigned in Program 1201. When programming, you generally
assign DCIs with the same configuration to the same sub-type. Refer
to the “Order” option in Program 0005 if you need to know the soft-
ware port number of the PMS DCI port. Use Program 1201 to set the
values of the DCI S-registers for the DCI port type chosen in this
option.
