Multi-flow cal check
With
multi-flow cal check
, you simulate one inspiration and one expiration for
three different flow levels each:
• 3 L in approximately 0.5 s (flow rate of 6 L/s)
The trial is accepted if the parameter FEF
25-75
or FIF
25-75
is between
5.50 L/s and 6.50 L/s.
• 3 L in approximately 3 s (flow rate of 1 L/s)
The trial is accepted if the parameter FEF
25-75
or FIF
25-75
is between
0.75 L/s and 1.25 L/s.
• 3 L in approximately 6 s (flow rate of 0.5 L/s)
The trial is accepted if the parameter FEF
25-75
or FIF
25-75
is between
0.40 L/s and 0.75 L/s.
To pass the complete calibration check, there must be one acceptable trial for
each flow level.
The printout shows at least three trials, one for each flow level.
Linearity cal check
The procedure for
linearity cal check
is the same as for
multi-flow cal check
,
except that three acceptable trials for each flow level are required.
The printout shows at least nine trials, three for each flow level.
