Service Schedule
Warranty
QinetiQ provides as standard a 6 - month warranty on the
ZephIR system. Service support is provided on the basis
of a return to base service, with all parts and labour costs
borne by QinetiQ. Within this warranty period, access to
a telephone support service (Mon - Fri 9-5 UK GMT) is
included. On completion of the warranty period spares and
labour are chargeable at the appropriate rates.
Major Service
After a period of five years operational use, QinetiQ
recommend that the ZephIR system is returned to the
Service Centre for a major system service. The system will
be stripped down and inspected and key components
replaced or reconditioned as necessary to extend
operational lifetime further. This major service is scheduled
to take no more than two weeks from receipt at the
Service Centre.
Components to be examined include the following: wiper
motor, washer pump, external cables, external and internal
fans, scanner motor, focus assembly, batteries, battery pod
PCB and the laser itself.
Spare parts list
The following items are considered to be a useful set
of spares for maintaining your ZephIR, there are no user
serviceable items with-in the ZephIR so should one of
those items need attention it will require a service visit
from an Engineer. The list below also includes the QP
part number and this should be quoted whenever a
replacement part is being ordered.

All of the above items can be purchased when required
or to ensure uninterrupted data collection it could be
considered prudent to purchase them in advance in
case of an unexpected failure or loss of one of these
components.
