Inserting the batteries
Each battery has a unique location within the Pod to ensure
that they are connected to the system power supplies in
the correct configuration. Each battery terminal uses a allen
screw to attach the terminal to the wire, these should be
hand tight.
Batteries are configured in pairs and it is essential that both
pairs are inserted prior to system power-up.
9.
Once all the batteries are in place the battery clamp
is placed on top of the batteries and is held in place with 4
hand knobs. The clamp needs to be tightened down until
the batteries are secure.
10. Once the batteries are all connected then the lid
assembly can be connected to the 2 XLR connectors and
then screwed into place using 12 M8x30 ‘Pinhead’ Allen
screws.
Note : Care must be taken when fitting the lid to ensure the
two cables are not trapped between the pod lid and the
metal structure inside the pod.
11. System Interconnections
The Battery Pod is connected to the Electronics Pod via four
system interconnections providing power supplies, system
control and washer fluid.
System interconnection is not required at this stage of the
system configuration and is dealt with under the ‘System
Interconnections’ section of this manual.
