Location Setting
GPS settings taken from a hand-held unit can be entered
into the system by plugging a suitable unit, set to output
the Garmin text protocol, into the auxiliary data port. This
information can be viewed by opening the configuration
window (‘ZephIR’ then ‘Config’.)
The user can also enter a unique site location or reference,
which will be stored alongside the system data. This is done
in the configuration window by over-writing or suffixing
the GPS location data.
9.
Window Cleanliness
Prior to setting the system to operate, the system window
should be cleared of any debris or deposits.
10. Wiper and Washer Operations
Selecting the ’wash and wipe’ menu option from the
‘Actions’ menu will initiate a wash and wipe sequence to
ensure correct operation.
In the event that the wash wipe system does not operate as
indicated above, please refer to the troubleshooting guide
at the rear of the ZephIR system operations manual.
11. Check File System
Select ‘Check File System’ from the ‘Actions’ menu. This
will pop up a window showing the status of the ZephIR
internal storage.
These flags should be checked after power on and
changing the flash card. If any of the compact flash status
indicators is ‘Serious Fault’ (as above) then power down
the ZephIR, format the compact flash card in a PC and try
again. If the problem persists then replace the compact
flash card. If the file system is fine then the following
window should appear:
12. Set Laser Power
Finally, selecting the ‘enable laser’ option from the
‘Actions’ menu allows the user to set the laser power
to full, which will automatically initiate data acquisition.
This is not necessary if the laser is set to come on
automatically.

System Enclosures
On completion of all system configuration and set-up
activities, the customer interface enclosure can be re-
positioned and secured using the four ‘PinHead’ allen
screws previously removed.
14. System Louvres
On completion of all system configuration and set-up
activities, the louvres on the system interconnection panel
can be installed.
Installation of the louvres is a two step process, with
the lower louvres being installed and secured with four
‘PinHead’ allen screws as shown below;
And the second being to install the upper louvres are
installed and secured with six ‘PinHead’ allen screws.
