OPERATING PROCEDURES
BEFORE STARTING
WARNING:
Read, understand, and follow all instructions and warnings on the
machine and in this manual before operating.
OIL
CAUTION:
There is no lubricating oil in the engine when you receive it.
Please fill the oil reservoir!
Check engine oil level:
Unscrew and check the oil dipstick (
fig.3
) to see whether the engine oil is within
the specified range (
b to c, fig.4
).
If the oil level is too low, add engine oil through
fill hole (
a, fig.3
) till it reaches
the specified height.
Engine oil reservoir capacity is 1.1 L (40.9 US fl.oz.)
Recommended usual engine oil weight is SAE 5W-30.
CAUTION:
Engine oil viscosity and weight requirements will vary according to
environment temperature (see fig.5).
GASOLINE FILL-UP
WARNING:
Use extreme care when handing gasoline. Gasoline is extremely
flammable and the vapors are explosive. Never fuel machine indoors nor while
the engine is hot or running. Extinguish cigarettes, cigars, pipes and other
sources of ignition.
Open the fuel tank cap (
G, fig.1 & 2
) and check the fuel level.
A plastic cup may be fitted inside the fuel fill opening to protect the tank during
manufacturing. Remove and discard it.
