Open screw connections (1, 2, 4) and loosen
V-band clamp (5).

Rake off intake elbow (7) with and O-ring (6)
and gasket (3).
9.
Seal openings with suitable covers.
10.
Remove temperature sensor (1).
11.
Loosen nuts (6) on stud (5).
Note:
Flange segments (3) are used on 12 V en-
gines, while 16V engines feature one flange
(3).
12.
Take off exhaust elbow (2) with flange (3) and
gasket (4).
13.
Release screw connections (4) from bel-
lows (3) in exhaust system downstream of
cylinder head.
14.
Release screw connections (2) on bellows (1)
in mixture line upstream of mixture cooler.
15.
Seal openings with suitable covers.
