Advice on Application of Electrodes
Make sure, that the MyoBravo is switched off (no display visible on the LCD-
Display).
Connect the single poled ends of the electrodes plugs with the electrodes that
are enclosed in the package.
The output plugs of the electrode cables will be plugged into the channels A1
to B2 of the MyoBravo. If you intend to use 2 outputs simultaneously, please
make sure, that one of the cables is connected to channel A and the other one to
channel B.
Furthermore make sure, that all plugs fit completely into the electrode sockets
as well as the device sockets.
Thereafter place the electrodes onto the skin. An adhesive skin gel has been
applied to the electrodes, which can be re-used after removal from the skin. In
the case of the skin gel loosing its adhesion, please replace the electrodes.
Electrodes which are damaged due to careless handling may not be used again.
Electrodes with damaged cable insulation (e.g. visible copper wire) may not be
used.
Electrodes with damaged, missing or stained aluminium coating or carbon layer,
also with insufficient adhesive gel may not be used.
Electrodes may not be altered or tampered with (e.g. by scissors or other
tools).
Do not pull the electrodes by force on the electrode cable. To remove the
electrodes from the skin, please lift the electrode at the rim towards the middle.
Do not use electrodes with ointments or creams (especially which enhance the
blood flow or act as local anaesthesia).
One uses special electrodes (probes) and a special electrode gel for the therapy
of incontinence.
Apply the electrodes on clean and unwounded skin only.
In the case of strong bodily hair growth, the hair should be shortened with
scissors.
Neither stretch the skin nor the electrodes when applying the electrodes.
Effective current densities of more than 2 mA/cm
2
require an increased
attention of the user with regard to the intensity adjustment. All customary
electrodes which comply with the requirements set out in the Council Directive
93/42/EEC relating to the Medical Device Directive can be used, if the
connections match the cables of MyoBravo. We recommend the use of our self-
adhesive electrodes with a minimum area of 40x40 mm.
If you should use a probe, please clean it carefully after use and dry it com-
pletely.
After all electrodes have been removed, wash the skin with mild soap and rinse
thoroughly. Then dry your skin.
