Configuration is similar to RADIUS ser ver configuration. An additional toggle option
Accounting
allows you to enable or disable the Accounting ser vices feature.
Note:
If the user is authenticated by a ser ver, and Accounting is enabled, the session is
switched into Command Line Inter face (CLI) mode (see the
Command Line Inter face Commands Reference
)
and cannot be switched to console mode. If Accounting is enabled on the Motorola Netopia
®
Router,
each command is sent to the ser ver in a Accounting transaction. The CLI command is then
executed, regardless of the return code from the ser ver.
Warning alerts
Cer tain security-related configuration changes cause the router to display a warning aler t. Choosing either
Local
then Remote
or
Remote then Local
from the Security Databases pop-up menu when there are no configured
username/password pairs causes the router to present the following warning aler t:
