EN

•  Before using the MOS UpLift™, you must validate the load capacity of your roof rack as well as the roof of

your vehicle. Load capacities are usually available in the user and owner’s manuals.

•  If the user manual for your roof rack or vehicle does not state their respective load capacities, contact

the manufacturer before installing the MOS UpLift™. Never assume that a roof rack or vehicle has the

necessary load capacity to safely mount and operate the MOS UpLift™.

•  Note that safety regulations, including but not limited to load capacity, differ from vehicle to vehicle and

roof rack to roof rack. It is your responsibility to validate the load capacity of the vehicle roof and your roof

rack on which you are installing the MOS UpLift™ in the owner’s manuals and user’s guide.

•  When changing vehicles or roof racks, you should consult the owner’s manual of your new vehicle or roof

rack for safety rules, including the maximum load that can be carried.

•  Always weigh all gear, accessories, and the MOS UpLift™ prior to mounting them onto the roof of your

vehicle to ensure that the maximum load capacity is met.

•  The maximum load specified in the MOS UpLift™ assembly instructions (the maximum load capacity of the

MOS UpLift™ is 85 lbs) should never be exceeded. However, this limit is always subject to the maximum

load recommended by the manufacturer of your vehicle and roof rack. The lowest recommended maximum

load always applies.

•  At all times, you must respect the following load capacities: load capacity of the roof of your vehicle, of

your roof rack, of the MOS UpLift™, as well as of all the gear that can be installed on them.

•

Remember to add the weight of the MOS UpLift™ (33 lbs), as well as the weight of all attachments and

accessories installed on the roof of your vehicle in the calculation of the total load.

•  Do not place very heavy or oversized equipment on the roof of the vehicle; respect the maximum weight

allowed for your safety and that of other road users.

•  When attaching more than one piece of equipment to the MOS UpLift™, for example, but not limited to, two

bicycles, it is imperative to ensure that the maximum load that can be installed on the roof of your vehicle,

your roof rack, as well as the MOS UpLift™ is respected; the smallest of the load capacities always applies.

•  When transporting large equipment (boat, kayak, etc.), always attach both ends to your vehicle’s bumpers

and trailer hooks. Otherwise, you could lose your equipment or the MOS UpLift™ rack on the road, which

could result in accidents, breakage, injury, or death.

•  Always be aware of the width and height of your load and the MOS UpLift™ when driving through tight

spaces (low branches, covered parking lots, bridges, tunnels, etc.).

•  Use only the equipment for which your vehicle, roof rack system, MOS UpLift™, or attachment accessories

were designed.

•  When travelling, you should perform regular load checks to ensure that equipment, attachment accessories,

the MOS UpLift™, and roof racks are securely attached to the roof of your vehicle.

•  Always think safety first. Make sure you respect the weight and dimensions allowed and securely fasten

your equipment to the roof of your car.

•  Always adjust your speed and driving to the road and weather conditions and to the load and type of gear

you are carrying.

•  Always consider the additional weight of your vehicle and its centre of gravity when driving and always

remember that the balance and stability of your vehicle is affected by your roof rack and equipment

installed on the MOS UpLift™ (longer braking time, distance between vehicles, reduced stability when

turning, reduced aerodynamic capacity, increased wind resistance, etc.).

•  Always remember that transporting equipment on the roof of your vehicle involves significant risks of

accidents, breakage, injury, or death, for you and road users. Always think safety first.

•  All instructions and assembly instructions for your roof rack, roof accessories, and any other roof system

used must be followed when using the MOS UpLift™.

•  LIFT (temps de freinage plus long, distance entre les véhicules, stabilité réduire lors de virages, capacité

aérodynamique réduite, résistance au vent augmentée, etc.);

•  Il est de la responsabilité des utilisateurs des produits MOS de se conformer aux normes, lois, et aux

réglementations applicables, notamment, mais non exclusivement, les lois et réglementations de sécurité

routière;

•  Gardez toujours en tête que le transport d’équipements sur le toit de votre véhicule comporte d’importants

risques d’accidents, de bris, de blessures ou de mort, pour vous et les usagers de la route. Pensez toujours

sécurité avant tout;

•  Toutes les indications et notices de montage de votre support de toit, des accessoires de toit, et de tout

autre système de toit utilisé doivent être respectées lors de l’utilisation du MOS UpLift™.
