CONFIGURATION SETTINGS
DHCP
: Allows IT personnel to define whether the Dynamic Host Communication Protocol (DHCP) will be used to
obtain an IP address.
If DHCP is YES, the network will automatically and dynamically assign an IP address.
If DHCP is NO, the IT professional must enter the IP address, def gateway, and subnet mask.
IP Address:
Allows IT personnel to enter the fixed IP address for network transmission (if DHCP is not selected).
Def. Gateway:
Allows IT personnel to enter the address of the default gateway (if DHCP is not selected).
Subnet Mask:
Allows IT personnel to enter the sub net address (if DHCP is not selected).
Sync IP:
Allows IT personnel to enter the IP address of the host server.
NOTE:
Addresses are always entered as 4 sets of 3 digits; therefore, an address of 192.168.0.7 must be
entered as 192.168.000.007.
Port Number:
Allows IT personnel to enter the port number used by the host server.
WLAN Option:
Allows IT personnel to enter the WLAN option code; valid range is 0 to 10.
Security:
Allows IT personnel to choose wireless security encryption options from a list. The following selections
appear and are dependent on the enabled security type.
WEP64 or WEB128:
Allows IT personnel to enter the WEP key number; valid range is 1 to 4.

WEP Key:
Allows IT personnel to enter the WEP key number; valid range is 1 to 4.
o
WEP Key ID:
Allows IT personnel to enter the 128-bit WEP Key ID value (26 digits in 13 sets of
two digits 00 to FF).
WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK:
WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) PSK (Pre-Shared Key) security allows for
implementation of the “personal mode” of WPA.

PSK Passphrase:
The Passphrase can be up to 64 alphanumeric characters.
WPA-LEAP:
Cisco® LEAP (Light Extensible Authorization Protocol) enables use of the device with
wireless networks employing the LEAP encryption protocol.
o
LEAP User Name:
The LEAP user name can be up to 32 alphanumeric characters in length.
o
LEAP Password:
The LEAP password can contain up to 32 alphanumeric characters in length.
WPA2-PEAP:
Cisco PEAP (Protected Extensible Authorization Protocol) enables use of the device with
wireless networks employing the PEAP encryption protocol.
o
PEAP User Name:
The PEAP user name can be up to 63 alphanumeric characters in length.
o
PEAP Password:
The PEAP password can contain up to 63 alphanumeric characters in length.
WPA2-EAP-TLS:
Cisco WPA2 interface with EAP-TLS requires client TLS certificates for
authentication.
o
TLS User Name:
The TLS user name can be up to 64 alphanumeric characters in length.
o
TLS Password:
The TLS password can contain up to 64 alphanumeric characters in length.
o
Certificates:
This selection is available to load certificates from storage to the WLAN module.
Select
Done
to save changes and exit the menu, or
Cancel
to exit without saving.
