General preventive measures against noise
There are two kinds of noises: Radiated noise that is transmitted into the air and Conductive
noise that is directly transmitted along connected lines. Countermeasures must be taken
considering both kinds of noises and referring to the following 3 points.
(1) Protecting against noise
(a) Keep signal lines away from noise sources such as a power cable or a high-power drive
circuit.
(b) Shield the signal lines.
(2) Reducing generated noise
(a) Use a noise filter, etc. to reduce the level of the noise generated due to a source such as
a high-power motor drive circuit.
(b) Attach surge killers to the terminals on the no fuse breakers (NFB), electromagnetic
contactors, relays, solenoid valves, and generators to suppress noise interference.
(3) Releasing noise to the ground
(a) Make sure to connect the ground cable to the ground.
(b) Use a short and thick cable to lower its ground resistance.
(c) Ground the power system and the control system separately.
WIRING PRECAUTIONS
WARNING
• Be sure to shut off all phases of the external power supply used by the system before wiring.
Failure to do so may result in an electric shock, product damage or malfunctions.
• Please make sure to ground FG terminal of the GOT power supply section by applying 100Ω or less which is used
exclusively for the GOT.
Not doing so may cause an electric shock or malfunction.
• Correctly wire the GOT power supply section after confirming the rated voltage and terminal arrangement of the
product.
Not doing so can cause a fire or failure.
• Tighten the terminal screws of the GOT power supply section in the specified torque range.
Undertightening can cause a short circuit or malfunction.
Overtightening can cause a short circuit or malfunction due to the damage of the screws or the GOT.
• Exercise care to avoid foreign matter such as chips and wire offcuts entering the GOT.
Not doing so can cause a fire, failure or malfunction.
WIRING PRECAUTIONS
CAUTION
• Plug the communication cable into the connector to be connected, and tighten the mounting screws and the terminal
screws in the specified torque range.
Undertightening can cause a short circuit or malfunction.
Overtightening can cause a short circuit or malfunction due to the damage of the screws or unit.
