Problem solving guide
With the aid of the following guide,
minor problems can be easily cor-
rected. If you are unable to correct the
problem, please contact the Miele Ser-
vice Department.
Miele cannot be responsible for prob-
lems resulting from improper installa-
tion or maintenance.
Any work on the electrical compo-
nents of the appliance should only be
performed by a qualified and trained
person in accordance with local and
national regulations. Unauthorized or
incorrect repairs could cause per-
sonal injury or damage the machine.
Problems/possible causes.
The dishwasher does not start.
– The door is not closed properly.
– The plug is not inserted properly.
– The circuit breaker is defective or
has tripped.
– A programme selction button has not
been pressed.
Shortly after starting a programme
the dishwasher stops working
– The water shut-off valve is closed. *
– The water intake filter is clogged
(see “Cleaning and care”). *
– To little water may be entering the
machine. This may be due to insuffi-
cient water pressure. *
– The drain hose is kinked. *
– The drain pump is blocked (see
“Cleaning and care”). *
* The Indicator lamp of the selected
programme will flash when the door
is opened if this is the problem.
