close the valve, the closing process is stopped after a certain time has
elapsed. When the motor is activated again to open the valve, the motor
operates until the microswitch is activated. The valve is a 12VDC component.
2.4
Drain Pump
The drain pump has three water connections. The cavity connection (Figure
035-2, Item 1) is a direct link to the cavity. This is used to drain off
condensate to the pump sump. Condensate from the condenser is passed to
the drain pump via the condensate trap connection; see Figure 035-2, Item 3.
The water level in the pump is registered via a float with a magnet. The
magnet closes a reed switch and the pump is activated. Water is then passed
via the condensate tank connection (Figure 035-2, Item 2) and a hose to the
condensate tank (tank model) or direct to the water drain (plumbed model).

Drain Pump
To ensure that automatic programs function, it is necessary to ensure that the
odor trap is filled with water. If the odor trap is not filled with water, air can be
taken into the cavity via this path. This would cause the automatic programs
to no longer function and the cooking results would be unsatisfactory. To fill
the odor trap with water, it is sufficient to run a 15-minute steam process. The
odor trap will be filled and temperature matching will also be carried out. This
procedure is essential with a new appliance. A large proportion of the water
can be removed from the pump sump from the interior with a syringe with a
hose. This is recommended before any repairs are carried out that require the
appliance to be tipped onto its front.
2.5
Flap Control to Reduce Steam and Regulate Moisture
2.5.1
Flap Control
Two operating steps are achieved with the flap control:
Steam reduction at the end of a cooking cycle with steam.
Moisture regulation during combination operation.
The air flap to allow cold air to enter the cavity is located in the rear panel.
Openings are present at the sides of the intermediate rear panel through
