Serial Configuration Commands
Concatenating Configuration Commands
Commands can be concatenated (added together) in a single string or data block. For
example,

Entering Control Characters in Serial Commands
To enter control characters within a serial command, hold down the
Ctrl
key while typing the
desired character.
Example:
To enter a carriage return and line feed (
^M^J

Entering Special Characters in Embedded Menus
Control Characters
Control characters entered on the command line are displayed in the menu as mnemonic
characters, such as:
<CR><LF><NUL><NUL>
Press

(the space bar) once, then enter the control character by holding down the
control key and simultaneously pressing the desired character. For example to define a
line feed, press

simultaneously. It is displayed as

on the command
line and as

in the menu when the screen is refreshed.
To Define a Carriage Return as a Character

To Define a Space as a Character

While it appears that nothing has been assigned, the hex value 20 will be sent during data
transmission.
