Revision 8.6
SECTION 6 : OPERATION OF CONTROL PANEL
93
6.8.15 Not in Neutral
Master controller (joystick) wasn’t in the neutral position during powering up of the THYROMAT unit.
Returning to the neutral position will reset the condition.
NOTE
This fault is indicated in the display bottom line
as “Not in Neutral”, but it will not be registered
on the fault history.
6.8.16 Drive Level
In the event that the Control card minimum voltage, which is usually set at 3,9V (refer to 2
nd
line of
control panel display) drops below 3,5V a “Drive Level” fault is logged.
Possible Causes
Faulty hardware in Control card circuitry. This will usually be a permanent fault and the Control
card needs to be replaced.
In the event of a temporary drop in supply voltage, which may cause the minimum drive level
to drop below 3,5V but not sufficiently low to cause a CPU brownout (i.e. < 2,7V) a “drive level”
fault will be logged. This usually is reset as soon as the supply voltage returns to its nominal
range.
6.8.17 Power ON Test
The “Power ON Test” is performed every time the THYROMAT is powered up. In the event that one of
the tests described
below fails the test as “Power ON Test” fault is logged.
Tests performed during power up.
1. Joystick position test
The joystick must be in neutral
Note:
In this case the display will show “Not in Neutral” message while the joystick remains out of
neutral position. No fault is recorded.
2. Current measurement test
The current measuring circuits must read 0 Amps during this test, any other value will cause a
“Power ON Test” fault to be logged. This type of fault indicates that, either the current converter or
the control card current measurement circuits are faulty.
Remove C.T.
’s plug first
Press “MENU” key, to change display to current measurements.
