Practical advice
Switching off the on-board power supply at the master safety switch

Remove seal cap (2).
Insert key (3) and turn it clockwise.
The electrical systems and con-
sumers are connected to the
batteries.
The on-board power supply is
switched on.
Turn key (3) anti-clockwise and re-
move it.
Caution:
Observe the following if the batteries
are to be electrically isolated from the
on-board power supply for any reason,
e.g. by operation of the battery isolat-
ing switch: after switching off the engine,
wait at least five minutes before isolat-
ing the battery from the on-board power
supply. This delay is necessary to ensure
fault-free operation of the exhaust gas
cleaning system after the bus has been
restored to operation.
The electrical systems and con-
sumers are isolated from the
batteries.
The on-board power supply is
switched off.
Refit seal cap (2).
Switching off the on-board power

Danger.
Do not operate master safety switch (17)
except in an emergency and only with the
bus stationary.

Open switch cover (17).
