Auxiliary Power Distribution Assembly
Note that the following procedure may be facilitated by first removing the PCI and PCI Express cards
as discussed earlier in this chapter; however, removing these cards is not obligatory.
1) Open the display assembly into its service position as discussed earlier in this chapter.
2) Unplug the top power input connector from the auxiliary power distribution board (Figure 3-49).

3) Unplug the bottom power input connector from the auxiliary power distribution board as illustrated
in Figure 3-50.
4) Unplug the CD/DVD power output connector from the auxiliary power distribution board as
illustrated in Figure 3-51.

5) Use an Allen key/tool to remove the screw attaching the auxiliary power distribution assembly to
the power supply unit (Figure 3-52).
6) Use a Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the two 4-40 screws attaching the auxiliary power
distribution assembly to the side of the inner chassis (Figures 3-53).
