Always have a banksman on hand to help when driving on to a transport vehicle.
Maintain eye contact or radio contact with the banksman at all times while driving
on to the transport vehicle. This helps ensure that you do not drive on to the trans-
port vehicle at an angle, resulting in the truck crane falling off the transport
vehicle.
After loading, lock the parking brake and secure your truck crane on the transport
vehicle with chocks.
Tie down the truck crane with suitable tensioning chains in longitudinal and
transverse directions. Only use the intended slinging points for this;

Secure all loose parts on and in your truck crane and secure the truck crane
against unauthorised use. Lock the crane cab and driver's cab and take the keys.
After loading, check that all folding parts are folded (in) (e.g. Mirrors, railings).
6.2
Loading the truck crane with another crane
Depending on the type of crane, the truck crane may only be lifted at certain parts
to avoid damage to the truck crane or it falling after lifting.
Only suitable lifting gear and lifting tackle may be used that can cope with the
maximum forces and weights that occur with a sufficient safety factor. A suitable
crosshead must be used, if necessary, to ensure that the maximum permissible
angles of the lifting gear are not exceeded.
The lifting gear must be attached in such a way that the truck crane is lifted at its
centre of gravity.
