Before crane operation and before rigging work
Only use the access aids provided to climb on and off your truck crane. Do not
use parts of the crane as access aids. Only use the hand grips provided for hold-
ing. Never support yourself on control levers, consoles, hoses or cables. Always
make sure you have a secure footing and a firm hold, especially in wet conditions.
Never jump off your truck crane, unless in an emergency.
Planning the use of the crane
You must know the load-bearing capacity of your truck crane under the given
operating conditions! You may only start crane operation if your truck crane has
the necessary lifting capacity and if the space conditions allow the required
rigging condition to be established correctly;

On truck cranes equipped with MAXbase, you can also have the lifting capacities
for various rigging modes displayed in the crane cab.
There is an online operations planner for various crane types. Scan the QR code
shown here or use the address given here.

area.
All lifting capacity values given only apply to freely suspended loads. Note the
conditions (e.g. boom length, telescope status or rated capacity limiter) under
which the values can be established.
The hoisting capacity of the crane depends on the tractive force of the hoist
and the number of reevings on the hook block. For an overview;

When determining the required lifting capacity, bear in mind that the actual
payload of the crane is below the value in the lifting capacity table. You must still
add various weights to the payload.
– The weight of the lifting gear.
– The weight of the hook block.
– The weight of reeved hoist rope that would not be required to lift the load.
