No persons are permitted in the areas (
II
) or (
IV
)
during rigging work.
There is a risk of fatal crushing injuries here!
To reach the connection points on the main boom
head, you may only place the ladder/working
platform in the safe area (
III
).
When swinging, there must be no persons or
objects in the swinging range (
I
). Always swing
the lattice extension from the ground with a guide
rope.
For lattice extensions that are folded to the left
side, the areas shown move to the other side
accordingly.
Never lean a ladder against the lattice extension.
This prevents the ladder from falling over when
the lattice extension swings or oscillates.
Never support yourself on moving parts
(e.g. hydraulic hoses). Never reach into bore
holes or other confined spaces in order not to
crush your fingers or hands.
Make sure that the lattice extension is secured
against swinging before establishing or separat-
ing the connections.
During removal, make sure that the lattice exten-
sion is attached to an auxiliary crane with slings
before separating the connection.
Always secure the pins at the connection points and also at the holders using the
appropriate locks. This prevents unsecured pins from coming loose, falling out
and causing injuries.
When rigging, always make sure that hoses and cables routed from the main
boom to the lattice extension are laid in such a way that they cannot be damaged.
Only connect the cables and hoses as described in the supplied
lattice extension
operating manual
.
Check the functions of the safety devices after completing rigging work (e.g. of
the lifting limit switches).
