Changing the Focusing Screen
1. Remove the lens.
2. Pull the Focusing Screen Release Lever (A)
forward, using tweezers, as shown in the illus-
tration.
3. Remove the focusing screen from the Focusing
Screen Frame by grasping the screen's tab with
tweezers.
Do not touch the mirror or allow it to be damaged.
4. When installing a screen, grasp the screen's tab
with tweezers, and then insert it into the Focusing
Screen Frame.
5. Using tweezers, push the Focusing Screen Frame
up until it clicks.
Never press on any other parts as this may affect the
focusing function.
CAUTION:
Since the focusing screen's surfaces are soft and
easily damaged, handle them carefully.
Never touch the surface of the screen with bare
fingers.
If dust settles on the screen, blow it away with an
air blower. Do not clean the screen with any chemical,
lens tissue, etc.
If a focusing screen needs cleaning, sent it to your
Mamiya authorized service center.
Using M645 Manual Focus Lenses
When using M645 manual focus lenses, the Manual Focus Lens Focusing Screen
must be installed in the camera. This screen is available as an accessory.
1. Install the Manual Focus Focusing Screen in the camera.
2. Mount the M645 lens on the camera body.
3. Turn the A/M Lever to the "M" position.
4. Set the lens to its widest aperture.
5. Select the exposure mode and set the desired lens aperture.
