Shutter Priority AE
Set the desired shutter speed, and the camera will automatically select the
optimum aperture.
Use this mode to maintain control over action-based photography.
1. While pressing the Exposure Mode Setting
Dial Lock Release Button (A), turn the Exposure
Mode Setting Dial to the "TV" position.
2. Turn the Front or Rear Dial to set the desired
shutter speed.
The shutter speed is adjusted in 1/2 stop in-
crements.
The aperture value on the Main LCD and in the viewfinder will flash when the subject is
too bright or too dark for a correct exposure.
Manual Mode (M)
This mode is used to set the aperture and shutter speed manually.
Shutter speeds can be set from B (Bulb), and 30 seconds to 1/4000 sec. in
1/2 steps.
Aperture values can be set to wide open to the lens minimum aperture
in 1/2 steps.
1. While pressing the Exposure Mode Setting
Dial Lock Release Button (A), turn the Exposure
Mode Setting Dial to "M".
2. Turn the Rear Dial to set the desired aperture.
The aperture can be adjusted in 1/2 step incre-
ments.
3. Turn the Front Dial to set the desired shutter
speed. Shutter speeds can be adjusted in 1/2
step increments.
