Air Bleed Nozzle Installation
Install the air bleed nozzles in the upper side of the cylinder head so that the identification mark
(a letter or figure location on the 0.500 inch hex) is installed toward the bottom of the engine
within approximately one hex flat of 60 in.-lbs. (6.7 Nm).
Fin Stabilizer Installation
NOTICE:
Two different widths of fin stabilizers, 0.63 in. (16.00 mm) and 0.31 in. (7.87 mm) are
to be installed on each engine cylinder in the locations shown in Figure A-3.
1.
Clean the fin stabilizers and cylinder fin areas with mineral spirits or equivalent to remove all
grease, dirt, and other unwanted materials.
2.
Use compressed air to dry the stabilizers and fins.
3.
Apply Dow Corning
®
Silastic
®
140 adhesive to the cylinder fins (Figure A-4).
4.
Install the fin stabilizers in the locations shown in Figure A-5.
