Crankshaft Trigger Gear Assembly Inspection
NOTICE:
Any time the crankshaft gear bolt (Figure 25) is removed from the crankshaft trigger
gear assembly, the bolt is to be discarded and replaced with a new bolt for the
applicable crankshaft trigger gear assembly. The discarded bolt is not to be re-
installed on any engine.
Do not remove the alignment dowel (Figure 25) from the end of the crankshaft unless
it is damaged. Replace a damaged alignment dowel per the “Alignment Dowel
Replacement” procedure in this chapter.
