Battery
The MAX stores its configuration profiles in battery-protected memory. When you power off
the MAX, the profiles remain intact.
Note:
Use a protected ac power source, or add surge protection between the power source and
the MAX.
Battery
The MAX contains an internal battery. The battery’s normal operating life exceeds five years.

Warning:
Only trained service personnel should open the MAX unit’s case for testing,
maintenance, installation, or any other purpose. Furthermore, only trained service personnel
should replace MAX components.

Warning:
The battery can explode if incorrectly replaced. Replace the battery only with the
same or equivalent type recommended by the manufacturer. Dispose of used batteries
according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
