with Liquid reagent

This test is suitable for determining ortho-Phosphate in
boiler waters and potable water supplies. Samples should be
filtered prior to analysis to remove any suspended insoluble
phosphate. A GF/C filter is suitable.
Unscrew the two halves of the filter holder and place one
GF/C filter circle onto the base section. Screw the two
parts together again,
ensuring the O ring is correctly
located
.
1. Fill a clean 20 ml syringe with approx. 14 ml water
sample.
2. Connect the syringe to the filtration assembly and
discharge the syringe to waste, down to the 10 ml
mark.
3. Fill a clean vial (24 mm Ø) with
10 ml of water sample
from the prepared syringe
, close tightly with the
cap.
4. Place the vial in the sample chamber making sure that
the marks are aligned.
5. Press
ZERO
key.
6. Remove the vial from the sample chamber.
7. Fill the vial with drops of the same size by holding the
bottle vertically and squeeze slowly:
50 drops KS80 (CRP)
8. Close the vial tightly with the cap and invert several
times to mix the contents.
9. Add
one level spoon of reagent KP119 (Ascorbic
Acid)
to the same water sample (note 1).
