6.5 Assembling the flow limiters SMBM
See also Fig. 30
NOTE
Fastening material provided by customer in corrosion-
protected design:
•
Hexagon head screws, 2x acc. to DIN EN ISO 4017, M8,
strength class 8.8
•
Washers, 2x acc. to DIN EN ISO 7090, ID 8 mm,
strength class 200-HV
Assembly:
NOTE
The mounting surface for the attachment of the flow limiter
must be free of dust particles, machining chips, rust, and
paint residue. If necessary, clean this surface prior to
flanging
.
1.
Design and clean the flanging surface and assembly threads
in accordance with the attachment dimension (Chapter 6.3.7 /
Chapter 6.4.8 ).
2.
Observe parallelism ( // 1 mm ) of the flanging surface and
the flanging boreholes!
3.
Carefully place and align the flow limiter on the flanging
surface and align its assembly holes with den customer-
provided assembly holes.
4.
Insert hexagon head bolts (2x) with washers (2x) in assembly
holes and tighten them slightly.
5.
Align the flow limiter, tighten the hexagon head screws with
the following torque: M8 = 15 ± 1 Nm.
6.
Remove protective plugs at the inlet and the outlet, if present.
7.
Attach the inlet and outlet screw unions to the flow limiter
and tighten with the torque specified by the manufacturer.
NOTE
The product has an equipotential bonding connection
(terminal/screw M6). This is located on the base plate of the
base module and is marked with the grounding symbol. The
product must be connected with the equipotential bonding
of the main machine through the equipotential bonding
connection.
8.
Connect the customer-provided equipotential bonding line
with 2.5 mm
2
at the equipotential bonding connection
(marked by the grounding symbol) of the higher-level
machine and at the PE connection terminal of the base plate
of the base module (Fig. 30).
9.
If present, connect pulse generator (see Chapter 6.7 ) or
signal transmitter (see Chapter 6.8 ) or changeover valve (see
Chapter 6.9 ).
