IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
SAFETY MESSAGES
For your safety, the information in this manual must be followed to minimize
the risk of fire, explosion, or electric shock, or to prevent property damage,
injury to persons, or death. Your safety and the safety of others is very
important. There are many important safety messages in this manual and on
your appliance. Always read and obey all safety messages.
This is the safety alert symbol. This symbol alerts you to potential
hazards that can result in property damage and/or serious bodily harm
or death.
All safety messages will follow the safety alert symbol and either the
word WARNING or
CAUTION. These words mean:
WARNING
: You can be killed or seriously injured if you don’t follow
instructions.
CAUTION
: You may be slightly injured or cause damage to the
product if you do not follow instructions. All safety messages will tell
you what the potential hazard is, tell you how to reduce the chance
of injury, and tell you what can happen if the instructions are not
followed.
CHILDREN IN THE HOUSEHOLD
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
BASIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WARNING
: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons
when using this appliance, follow basic precautions, including the
following.

Use this appliance only for its intended purpose as described in this Owner's Manual.

Before use, the washer must be properly installed as described in this manual.
•
Do not wash articles that have been previously cleaned in, washed in, soaked in,
or spotted with gasoline, dry cleaning solvents, or other flammable or explosive
substances, as they give off vapors that could ignite or explode.
•
Do not add gasoline, dry cleaning solvents, or other flammable or explosive substances
to the wash water. These substances give off vapors that could ignite or explode.
•
Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas may be produced in a hot water system that
