28 Load Paper The printer is requesting paper from a source it detects
is empty. The display shows the following information:
The source where it expects to find the paper.
The size of the paper it expects to find.
If Tray 1+2 is displayed, you must load the requested
size paper in both tray 1 and tray 2.
Select MORE to show a second display where you can
either select RESET or CONTINUE.
30 Door Open
30 Tray 2 Door
Open Close all doors. The printer automatically continues
operation.
31 Cyan Print
Cartridge Missing Install the appropriate print cartridge.
32 Magenta Print
Cartridge Missing Install the appropriate print cartridge.
33 Yellow Print
Cartridge Missing Install the appropriate print cartridge.
34 Black Print
Cartridge Missing Install the appropriate print cartridge.
37 Insufficient
Collation Memory The printer memory used to store collated pages is full.
You can select either RESET or CONTINUE.
38 Memory Full The printer started processing the data, but filled up its
available memory. Select RESET or CONTINUE.
Some data may not print.
To reduce the complexity of the page or free up
memory:
• Reduce the amount of text or graphics on a page.
• Delete unnecessary downloaded fonts or macros.
• If you are using scalable fonts, try reducing the point
size.
• Turn off Jam Recovery, Page Protect and/or
Resource Save.
If Auto Continue is On when the printer detects this
error, it waits 30 seconds and then continues.
You may need more memory to print this level of
complexity.
