1. Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer. Then,
disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the
computer.
2. Remove the frame stand. See “Replacing the frame stand” on page 87.
3. Remove the computer cover. See “Removing the computer cover” on page 89.
4. Remove the memory module. See “Replacing the memory module” on page 98.
5. Remove the M.2 Wi-Fi card. See “Replacing the M.2 Wi-Fi card” on page 100.
6. Remove the system board bracket. See “Replacing the converter board bracket” on page 104.
7. Record the cable routing and cable connections, and then disconnect all cables from the system board.

8. Remove the five screws that secure the system board. Then, carefully lift the system board out of
the chassis.
Note: Carefully handle the system board by its edges.

9. Loosen the screws 1 - 7 in numeric order. Then, lift the heat sink off the system board.
Notes:
• You might have to gently twist the heat sink to free it from the microprocessor.
• Do not touch the thermal grease while handling the heat sink and fan assembly.
