2. Make sure the dosing unit gives the correct food type.
7. If the COSMIX S has three or more feed types:
1. Select 'Valve 3' and push button [ ].
2. Make sure the dosing unit gives the correct food type.
8. If the COSMIX S has four feed types:
1. Select 'Valve 4' and push button [ ].
2. Make sure the dosing unit gives the correct food type.
9. If one or more dosing units do not give the correct food type, assign
the correct feed type to the dosing unit. (page 8-11)
8.5.5 Test the Feed Detection System
WARNING
Block the cow traffic to the COSMIX S before you do this procedure.
Use the E-Link manual controller for this procedure.
1. Make sure the feed bin is empty.
2. In the main menu, select 'Testing' and push button [ ].
3. Select 'FDS Test' and push button [ ].
The display shows:
•
the output value of the feed present sensor (ADC Value)
•
the empty feed bin value (page 4-14).
4. Make sure both values are equal (approximately 750).
5. If both values are not equal, calibrate the 'Empty Feedbin Value'
(page 8-6).
6. Put some feed in the feed bin.
7. Make sure both values are different from the 'Empty Feedbin
Value'.
8. Push button [ ].
8.6 Adjust the Floor Antenna Signal (Qwes-LEG models only)

Non-metal screwdriver (e.g. plastic)
Preparation
1. Open the control unit.
2. Find the indication LEDs (4, fig. 38, page 8-9) on the Velos box (3).
3. Open the EWA transformer box (fig. 28, page 5-18).
4. Find the trimmer coil (2) on the EW transformer pcb (1).
