Note
If programmed procedures are to be carried out: the power switch (

Fig. 13- 9 ) must be switched on
and the instrument must be in standby mode.

Work area illumination ( → Fig. 13- 10 )
• An LED light system for the working area provides homogeneous diffuse illumination of the
embedding area and cold spot. This produces optimum visibility conditions when dispensing the
paraffin and positioning the specimen.
• The light can be controlled by pressing the light button ( → Fig. 13- 15 ) , ( → Fig. 17- 15 ) on the control
panel.

• Use the scraper head ( → Fig. 14- 1 ) to remove any remaining paraffin on the instrument.
• Use the scraper finger ( → Fig. 14- 2 ) to remove any remaining paraffin in the grooves on the working
surface.
Warning
Move the scraper finger ( → Fig. 14- 2 ) along the grooves on the working surface as shown in
(
→
Fig. 14) . Otherwise, the scraper finger (
→
Fig. 14- 2 ) may break.
