Caution
Do not use solvents on painted surfaces, warning labels or the touchscreen.
To avoid scratching the surface of the instrument only the paraffin scraper that is supplied with the
instrument should be used for cleaning – Do not use metal tools!
Cleaning the retort lid
Remove paraffin from the inside of the retort lid with the plastic scraper provided. Thoroughly remove all
paraffin deposits from around the lid seal.
Caution
Only use the plastic scraper provided when cleaning the retort lid and seal to avoid damage to the retort lid
seal. Do not damage the edges of the seal with the scraper.
Cleaning the retort
•
Wipe the retort using a lint-free cloth moistened with solvent (xylene or ethanol) or mild detergent.

Remove residues of paraffin and reagent from the retort inside wall higher than the reagent level area
and the area around the retort

Make sure that the air vent holes at the top front of the retort are not dirty.
Cleaning the level sensor
Note
The level sensor must be cleaned of all residue (reagents and paraffin).
Use a lint-free cloth to clean the level sensor.
