Note
The USB ports are for memory sticks only. Do not connect any other type of USB device to the
instrument.
3.2
Main features of the instrument
•
The HistoCore PEARL is equipped with an LCD touch screen. Multilingual user interface and graphic
display of the program flow (dashboard) are for clarifying all menu steps.
•
The HistoCore PEARL can be operated using customized or pre-installed, validated tissue processing
programs. There are 3 pre-installed, non-editable programs available, including 1 Cleaning program, 1
Overnight and 1 Biopsy.
•
10 processing programs are freely configurable with up to 14 steps (temperature; time; reagent;
pressure/vacuum options).
•
Reagent Management System (RMS) enables the users to monitor the usage of reagents per number
of cassettes, cycles or days.
•
The quick start system enables the users to start each program immediately from the Favorite
program panel (max. 5 programs).
•
The number of cassettes, number of processing cycles, days since the last change and the reagents
to be replaced can be displayed according to the customized settings of the RMS.
