Preventive maintenance reminder

The instrument calculates the operation time , including the idle time. When the time exceeds the 
warning threshold, the warning symbol presents in the status bar, and a warning message pops up on 
the screen, reminding you to contact your service provider to perform a preventive maintenance.

It can only be reset by the Service User by pressing the 

Reset

 button

Caution 

Only qualified service personnel authorized by Leica Biosystems can do the yearly preventive 

maintenance. 

Active carbon filter 

The instrument calculates the time of the active carbon filter in use. When the time exceeds the default 
warning threshold, a warning pops up, reminding you to replace a new active carbon filter. When the 
time exceeds the default alarm threshold, the alarm rings with a warning message.

Reset the active carbon filter

The default warning threshold is 45 days. The default alarm threshold is 60 days. Validate your 
actual threshold before use.
